Morning Pool Play

• The gym opens at 7:30 AM. The first match starts at 8:00 AM.
• Each team gets 4 minutes to warm up for its first match of the day. Later matches get 3 minutes per team.
• 16 teams play in 4 pools of four (Pools A, B, C, D).
• Pool play matches: Two sets to 25, capped at 27. Both sets count.
• The next match’s warm-ups start immediately after the previous match ends.

Pool tiebreakers

Teams are ranked in their pool using these tiebreakers, in this order:

1. Set win percentage (sets won ÷ sets played).
2. If exactly two teams remain tied: head-to-head set win percentage, then head-to-head point percentage (points scored ÷ total points played in that match).
3. Point percentage (points scored ÷ total points played).
4. Coin toss.

Placement in Brackets

After pool play, all teams are ranked together from #1 to #16. Teams are first grouped by pool finish:

• All 1st place teams (Pool A #1, Pool B #1, Pool C #1, Pool D #1)
• All 2nd place teams (Pool A #2, Pool B #2, Pool C #2, Pool D #2)
• All 3rd place teams (Pool A #3, Pool B #3, Pool C #3, Pool D #3)
• All 4th place teams (Pool A #4, Pool B #4, Pool C #4, Pool D #4)

Teams within each group are then ranked using these tiebreakers, in this order:

1. Set win percentage (sets won ÷ sets played).
2. Point percentage (points scored ÷ total points played).
3. Coin toss.

Once all teams are ordered, they are placed into brackets:

Afternoon Bracket Play

• Single elimination.
• 4 minutes of warm-up per team for each match.
• Bracket matches: Best of 3, no caps. Sets one and two go to 25. A third set goes to 15.
• Teams are required to help officiate. Watch the schedule for assignments.
• The next match’s warm-ups start immediately after the previous match ends.
